Maurice Williams Founder of Cleaning Services, Inc. Co-chair of Diversity & Inclusion Council I endeavor to be a powerful and compelling advocate for a vigorous business environment for minority owned businesses in Nevada. Early in life, I knew I wanted to join the U.S. Marine Corps. There I learned that the quality of a life well lived does not come from doing what you know you can do - but by conquering those things you never imagined yourself attempting. It was there I came to truly understand the meaning of pride and brotherhood. Once a marine, always a marine. As a successful small business owner in Las Vegas, I understand the many challenges brought forth as a minority owned entity. When I first moved to Las Vegas I worked in the Hotel and Gaming industry. In 2003 I was introduced to construction cleaning and started my own company in 2006. Through the many trials of effectively navigating a construction based group to success and then surviving the economic downturn, I have always held to three basic principles. Always be available. Always be responsive. Give more. My vision for the Nevada Contractors Association Diversity and Inclusion Council is about advancing business opportunities and potential for minority business enterprises. We do this, not only by connecting you to member corporations, but also by offering many focused educational opportunities that can profoundly impact your business today. I hope to better equip you to productively manage the many aspects of small business development.

We welcome all members who have an interest in construction industry diversity & inclusion issues to join the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Council. The D&I Council enables NCA members to connect with each other, keep pace with the latest construction D&I developments and participate in developing and driving association D&I initiatives. General council membership requires no commitment to attend meetings or serve on subcommittees, but it ensures prompt notification of such opportunities when they arise. The Diversity & Inclusion Council is governed by a steering committee. For those interested, please contact staff liaison Rebecca Keenan at Rebecca@nvcontractors.org or (702) 796-9986.
