MSHA Part 46 New Miner Training

MSHA Part 46 New Miner Training 

Description: This course is designed to meet MSHA Part 46 regulatory requirements. Training includes the mining environment and the health and safety aspects of operations and tasks. Course covers topics such as statutory rights of miners, first aid, emergency procedures, hazard recognition and avoidance.                                                 

Who Should Attend: Required for employees beginning employment as a miner or an independent contractor performing work on surface mines. Each new miner must receive no less than 24 hours of training. Part 46 applies to shell dredging, sand, gravel, surface stone, surface clay, colloidal phosphate, and surface limestone mines. If your work is in other MSHA regulated operations or you are an independent contractor that operates in other types of mining operations, you may be required to complete Part 48 training instead.

Reasonable Suspicion for Supervisors Course

Reasonable Suspicion Training 

Do you have a Drug & Alcohol Testing Program at your workplace?  How about a Reasonable Suspicion Policy to test workers who are suspected to be impaired?  Supervisors should be provided policy information about your Drug & Alcohol Testing Program and their role in its implementation.  Reasonable Suspicion Training for Supervisors will provide you with tips on how to handle situations where employees are suspected to be impaired at the workplace.  This course discusses how to effectively engage, test, and act in accordance with the Company Drug & Alcohol Testing Policy set forth in your program.

Are you an active trainer in the Outreach Program? Have you completed the Trainer Course for the Construction Industry OSHA 500? You must be updated every four years on training techniques, OSHA construction industry standards, policies, and regulations. The OSHA 30-hour Construction Industry Outreach Training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in the construction industry. Specifically devised for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors; the program provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues.

Each student will receive a copy of 29 CFR OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry Manual.

CLASS WILL BE PRESENTED IN ENGLISH ONLY. (Student must read, write and understand English)

OSHA 500 - Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry

The focus of this TRAINER course is to prepare students to teach the 10 and 30 Hour Outreach classes. Course time is spent learning and practicing adult training techniques. Students will participate in the development and delivery of lectures during class. Thorough knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards (CFR 1926) is required. Following successful completion of the written exam, students become authorized OSHA Trainers in the 10 and 30 Hour Outreach Programs. Laptop recommended.
