​OSHA Training Program (UC San Diego OTIEC – Las Vegas)

About the Program
The Nevada Contractors Association partners with the UC San Diego OSHA Training Institute Education Center to deliver OSHA-authorized training courses locally in Las Vegas. These courses follow OSHA’s national standards and are designed for construction and safety professionals responsible for compliance, hazard recognition, and workforce safety.
This program provides a direct pathway to OSHA certification and, for qualifying individuals, the ability to become an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer.
What You’ll Learn

Course content varies by class, but core topics include:
  • OSHA construction and general industry standards
  • Hazard identification, avoidance, and control
  • Employer responsibilities and compliance requirements
  • Safety program development and implementation
  • Recordkeeping and inspection processes
Advanced courses (OSHA 500/511) also cover instructional techniques and regulatory interpretation.
Cost & Enrollment
  • Typical Cost: $795–$825 per course
  • Registration: Completed directly through UC San Diego Extended Studies
  • Availability: Courses are scheduled throughout the year and may fill quickly

  • Course Length: 3–4 days depending on course
