Ambassador Committee Chairman: Mike Powada, Sunstate Equipment Co. Staff Liaison: Rebecca Keenan Promote the association, its members and the construction industry through mentoring programs, media relations, advertising, community involvement and association events. Primary responsibilities include the recruitment of new members, the retention of current members, increasing member involvement with the association, and encouraging networking and business relationships between members.
Construction Leadership Council (CLC) Chairwoman: Ashley Herndon, Bergelectric Staff Liaison: Nadia Nguyen Open to young professionals to exchange ideas, best practices and heighten leadership skills. CLC is responsible for making an impact on the community, improve industry skills, create long lasting relationships and become the driving force of tomorrow's leaders.
Construction Training and Education Committee (CTEC) Chairman: Frank Johnson, McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. Staff Liaison: Emilie Kirkhus Marketing and recruitment of young and energetic construction workforce armed with today's cutting edge technology. This committee helps inform students of the various rewarding construction careers in the Las Vegas Valley by hosting Construction Career Day, S.T.E.A.M., SkillsUSA, school career fairs and other construction related events. In addition, promoting our Michael T. Martin Scholarship that is awarded to a student(s) pursuing further education or training in a construction related discipline.
Diversity & Inclusion Council (D&I) Chairwoman: Rebecca Fountain, KOR Building Group Staff Liaison: Rebecca Keenan Advocates for a more diverse and professional construction industry. Enables members from diverse backgrounds including, but not limited to; small businesses, minority owned businesses, women owned businesses, veteran owned businesses, and disabled veteran owned businesses to connect with each other on the latest construction developments, polices, and education and training.
Government Affairs Committee Chairman: Boyd Martin, Boyd Martin Construction Staff Liaison: Ann Barnett Responsible for developing support within the southern Nevada construction industry for the political actions, initiatives and programs of the chapter and the National AGC, while proactively representing the chapter and the industry before state and local government bodies.
Labor Relations Committee Co-Chairmen: Dick Dieleman, Dielco Crane Services & Steve Jones, The PENTA Building Group Staff Liaison: Patrick Velasquez This committee, comprised of chapter labor agreement signatories, handles organized labor issues and negotiations for its participating members.
Permits & Inspections Committee Chairman: Vincent Tatum, Grand Canyon Development Staff Liaison: Ann Barnett Partners with city and county government agencies to develop standardized building codes and reasonable zoning, permitting and inspection regulations.
Safety Committee Chairman: Jorge Macias, Martin-Harris Construction Staff Liaison: Mariah Ruiz Encouraging, fostering and developing a uniform safety program for the chapter and its member companies, in an effort to reduce accidental death, injury and financial loss.
